Set beautifully in the prestigious luxury of London's Chelsea is the Merola boutique.

A fashionista haven of exquisite delights, here can be found pieces to adorn the body in a way that only Merola can.

We share our cabinets with collections by renowned, one-off jewellery icons including celebrity favourite the late great Kenneth Jay Lane, and vintage guru, Miriam Haskell.

Many of our pieces can be bought online, however, some are just too pretty to be viewed on the Internet alone so why not drop by for a one-to-one consultation and treat yourself to a bauble or two?
Afterall... as we all know boutique.

‘’A piece of jewellery is often a piece of art.

But it only becomes valuable when emotions are added to it’’

We try to provide a flawless and personable customer service experience and always love to connect with fellow jewellery enthusiasts so please follow us on Instagram @merola_london or drop us a line at info@merola.co.uk

"You never really know a woman, until you have seen her jewellery" Maria Merola

My philosophy is simple when it comes to making or choosing collections just

let it be lovely & wearable

No matter the cost, jewellery should make a positive difference to its owner. It should give them confidence and make them feel special when they wear a particular piece.

It was 1980 when I started with my tiny shop in the Camden Passage. I called it THE STUDIO after a  renowned, but no longer published art magazine, which had exerted a major influence on the development of the Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movements, which I specialised in at the time.

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

One extraordinary day, a lady came to The Studio with a collection of original bakelite and chrome jewellery from the 1920s Art Deco era.  I became enthralled by the artistic and beauty merits of this form of art immediately and not only did I buy the collection from her, I made it my quest to find out as much as I could about it; where it was made, materials used, and so on. For a jewellery lover, it was an amazing and super-interesting journey, and at the end of it all, I decided to specialise in vintage couture costume jewellery of the finest sort.
And that was how

Merola was born

1984 saw the opening of the first
Merola boutique on Kensington Church Street. We then moved to London's Walton Street where we remained until Dec 1999; along the way having concessions in prestigious shop giants including Harrods & Harvey Nichols.

January 2000 saw the opening of Merola at
195 Fulham Road, Chelsea where we stayed until the end of September 2018.

We just recently moved again, still in Chelsea- but perhaps into the loveliest boutique of them all.

Over the years, the Merola collections have grown in quantity and developed in style, and we now sell a staggeringly beautiful collection of new and contemporary - as well as perfectly restored vintage Miriam Haskell pieces.
The one common denominator is their beauty.

Even as the Founder of Merola, I still sit staring in awe at our cabinets of wonder, and admire the passion and skill that goes into creating pieces to adorn and enhance us women. I so look forward to sharing them all with you.

Love always,

Maria Merola x
