Care guide

TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELLERY

All our jewellery is created using the highest quality materials. Genuine semi precious & precious stones are set in gold plated metals as are listed in our Semi-precious category.. All products are lead and nickel free.

Please follow these steps to protect your jewellery from damage.

Silver jewellery  naturally tarnishes over time. Tarnishing is not a fault and steps can be taken to ensure your jewellery looks it best for a very long time. Using a soft lint free cloth suitable for cleaning silver will keep your 18ct gold and rose gold vermeil jewellery looking bright and tarnish free.  Chains should be stored elongated, alone and rolled up in a suitable cloth or tissue paper to stop entanglement.

Please store and transport your jewellery pieces  made in silver in appropriate packaging and in a box.  Silver is a bendable soft precious metal and any pressure applied could cause damage.

Gold plated silver may naturally fade over time.please keep your jewellery in appropriate packaging to help to avoid this.
Do not wear your jewellery while in water and avoid spraying perfume and hairspray or applying creams on it or where your jewellery will be able  have contact. Avoid storing your jewellery in extreme temperatures, humidity and sunlight. Any contact with perfumes and chemicals will cause discolouration to semi precious metals, but this can be avoided by caring for your jewellery as detailed above.  You can clean most gemstones with a soft, damp cloth after wearing should you need to. They should not be worn in saunas or any place where the temperature is very high and hot.  Porous stones such as turquoise and emeralds should be cleaned using an untreated, dry soft cloth only, as tissue paper or paper towels can cause scratching.

Natural gemstones sometimes contain internal inclusions, adding to the beauty and uniqueness of each individual gem. We love them and hope you do too.

We cannot be responsible for any damage due to negligence, damage caused by general wear and tear is the responsibility of the owner.

We will always try to help with repairs, restringing  and missing stones and we offer a charged repairs service where at all possible.
